Dr. Jay Nokkeo Dr. Nokkeo started in dentistry as a dental assistant during his undergraduate years at Rutgers University. From there he went on to complete dental school at Temple University. He did his residency for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Washington Hospital Center. He received his D.M.D from Temple University after obtaining his Bacholer of Science Degree from Rutgers University. He is a member od the American Dental Associtation (ADA), ther American Assiciation of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), the American Assiciation of Orral Implantology (AAOI) and the Maryland State Dental Association (MSDA). Oral and maxillofacial surgery is the specialty of dentistry which includes diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. Orthognathic surgery involves the surgical manipulation of the elements of the facial skeleton to restore proper anatomic and functional relationship in patients with dentofacial skeletal anomalies. |
